It is a material with high chemical resistance. It has low density. It is a slippery material with low friction coefficient. Water or moisture absorption is close to zero. Can be used especially in industrial kitchens and as a butcher cutting log. This material also has the ability to be welded. It is a softer and less rigid material than polyporylene and PVC. The element that characterizes polyethylene is molecular weight. It can be grouped into three groups as low molecular weight, high molecular weight and ultra high molecular weight. (PE 300, PE 500, PE 1000). Especially PE 1000 has very high abrasion resistance. It provides excellent strength when working with metals.
PE 300-HD: Weldable, easy to form, vacuum shaped, shock resistant. It is the least resistant to abrasion among the polyethylene.
PE 500- HMW and PE 500- Reg. Application temperature is between +100 and + 80ºC. According to PE300, it has high abrasion resistance and good sliding property. Its abrasion is 4 times less durable than PE 1000. It is economical.
PE 1000 – UHMW and PE 1000 – Reg. : PE1000 with a molecular weight of 4-7 million has very high abrasion resistance. This abrasion is the resistance that will occur in the operation of the plastic by rubbing with a smooth metal surface. Working temperature is between -150 C / +90 C.
