Despite it is named as “mercury steel” in our country,  it is chrome and vanadium alloy, easy to work and heat treated, it is resistant to abrasion, and it is resistant to abrasion and cold work tool steel according to DIN 670 h8 standard.

Mercury steels are a tool steel that is hardened with water suitable for the construction of spiral and tooth drills, taps, reamers, countersinks, tailstock drills, rasps, hole punches, metal saws, pull punches and all kinds of staples, nails and such tools.
